I have a new piece "You Know You're From Blue Ridge When...There's a Damn Turkey in the Target Parking Lot" (one heck of a title right?) on display for the "Unseen Greenville" juried exhibition at the Greenville Center for Creative Arts. The show opened on December 4th and is up until January 22nd. Be sure to swing in a check out my new work!
Beyond Tech is a show of graduates from Greenville Technical College's transfer and associate programs that have gone on to receive BFAs and MFAs in Visual Arts at other institutions of higher education. The Studio Art program at Greenville Tech is hands down one of the best two year visual arts programs. Anyone that has been through will also tell you that their program easily outshines many four year ones in the amount of knowledge, career preparation and artistic guidance. You can check out their program at their website here or better yet follow them on Facebook to get updated with images of student work and what's going on in their Greer Campus Gallery and the Riverworks Gallery Downtown. The show is located at Riverworks, which is on Arts Crossing in downtown Greenville across the river from Larkin's. The show runs from February 3-February 26, 2012, Riverworks hours are Thurs-Friday and Sunday 1-5pm.
