Explore The Stories

Many artists work in series, I choose to work in story. The purpose behind my life and work are simple, to tell my story and that of the land I love. It’s about the magic of capturing moments that are meant to live lives larger than themselves through drawing, photography and writing. The tales I tell are all part of me, they’re my life. They grow, they shift, they change and they evolve as I do. It’s dust and dirt…born of the earth and rooted in the realness of an unapologetically Appalachian soul, so pour a cup of tea (or bourbon) and cozy up on some old porch swing as you take a little scroll through my world.

Strange Kinda Somewhere | Appalachia

A time warp of a no-man’s land that’s constantly shifting and changing, while somehow staying stuck in time - a place I like to call the inbetween. Special in its own kind of way, not for everybody, but for the few that understand it, there’s nothing more intoxicating. A place that feels like time stands still and you can feel the ancient pulse of the Earth still rise beneath your feet.

Nowhere Tales | American West

Inspired by long nights under the stars, desolate highways, dusty boots, good bourbon and even better stories from forgotten huntin’ camps about the remnants of a fading way of life…these images and words are a testament to the rugged individual spirits of the American West.

Contested Grounds | Hunting

Hunting is all about connecting to something larger than yourself. Expericing life, death and sustenance. It’s what feeds us and drives us all at the same time. Most of society has been disconnected from this way of life and for many people these experiences are a thing of the past. Some of us still understand it’s importance in the connection it provides - connecting back to our food, connecting back to a way of life that served us for thousands of years and connecting back to the land and the cycles that make us who we are.
